Okay…I am having mixed emotions here. The thing is is that looking at her, even though she is attractive and actually gains her weight in a way that I think is better looking than say some that weigh what she may weigh, I think she is beautiful. 135-140 lbs is the healthy weight for a woman who is 5’7″. If you are 5’1″ you should be a lot closer to 105-110 lbs. That makes you neither skinny, nor particularly fat. Women your size are considered ‘thick’ and there seems to be a lot of men out there that like a thick woman. So while your defense of skinny chicks is nice, and you are right that not all are bad..I think that his comment about curvy, soft, and nice women more appropriately applies to you. If I were in your shoes..I would take it as a compliment.

Also, maybe 130 is considered overweight for you because of your height. I would never call that overweight! I’m 5’8″ and 190 lbs. and my doctor told me 150 would actually a healthy weight for me. Guess it depends on the person and their build.

About 85% of the time when one of my guy friends hooks up with a woman under 200 lbs., the woman in question has such an attitude of entitlement it’s ridiculous. They think they should never have to spend a dime of their own money again, they immediately try to cut off all activities the guy likes doing rather than compromising [instead of "OK, I'll see the action movie with you if you watch the chick flick with me," it's "From now on, no more action movies, no more chess games with your guy friends, no more going anywhere even to the grocery store unless either I'm with you or I call your cell phone every 15 minutes"], and they put out maybe once every 3 months. Now, maybe most women who don’t have curves aren’t like that, but I can only judge by what I see. The women with big, sexy bodies aren’t pushovers, by any means — not saying that — but they are reasonable. When I was dating my now deceased former wife, we would trade off on movie dates [I'd pick one, the next time she'd pick one], I liet her have one night a konth with her female friends and she let me have one night a month with my male friends no questions asked, etc. And she put out a reasonable number of times — not every single night, but enough so that it was worth continuing to date.
The BMI chart is a joke. According to that chart, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is dangerously obese. I know he’s a big guy, but one thing he is NOT is dangerously obese!
@SeanB yea…the bmi chart is off with many people. i am really curvy. even when i am way skinny i am pretty curvy. but i know what it is like to be under 100 lbs and have people stare at you like you are anorexic or on crack (i had chronic mono when i was younger and how the rumors spread!~didnt even get to kiss anyone to get it!) i like hips and shape on women…but not all of them have it so i feel bad saying that women should be this way or that way shape wise…i really just think we should strive for healthy. and pray we aren’t built like linebackers. then again, that works for some. lol. as far as what you said about the girls your friends date under 200 lbs…it sounds like it is more about the”type” of girl they are going after personality wise rather than body habitus (habitus being asthenic, hyposthenic, sthenic, etc, ie waiflike, skinny, healthy, curvy, fat, morbidly obese). Oddly there has been a lot of research done on what you are talking about. it isnt so much the weight that makes them that way and their weight is not typically what makes the guy attracted. it is a mixture of the look she gives off along with the aura of bitchiness. amazingly guys are attracted to that subconsciously because it allows for the pecking order to be established. then they are unhappy because it is never what it is cracked up to be. arm candy is no fun if you can not play with it.
But not all girls are that way. I am not morbidly obese and I am a pretty cool chic. I have been told at least. possessiveness and jealousy happens in chics like the ones you are talking about because below their plastic-y exteriors is a lot of low self esteem. and a lot of times they are the way they are i many ways just for that reason alone: they have low self esteem and feel like they need to live up to some standard in their head that they established by observing it in someone else that they are jealous of or are idolizing.

If you aren’t eating all that much, you may not be eating enough (which slows your metabolism) or you may have a thyroid problem which can cause you to gain weight regardless of what you do diet and exercise wise. it should be the inside that matters….but nothing matters if you die from being unhealthily too skinny or too overweight.

@hotlatina.. I am with you girl. I am 5’5″ 240 and extremely healthy. Just had a full work up and not a thing wrong with my health. I LOVE my body and am very proud of it. Great boobs, 38DD, big ass, not quite as thick legs as her, but not alot of cellulite either. Absolutely proud and confident woman, have picked up men 10-15 years my junior ( I am 41 and yes a cougar) out on weekends and had quite a few woman hit on me too. Good looking women. Because I do know a lot of info about this stuff because I have had health issues and have had my doctors give me info and I have studied a lot about it all because I wanted to understand what I was doing to my body and health when I was sick and only 89 pounds and also when I was overweight at 156 lbs.
So…instead of being a B!tch MAYBE YOU as well should respect other people and where they are coming from. You may think that overweight isn’t always unhealthy….However, in looking at the facts of life and multiple studies, there are multiple health RISKS that are upped percentage wise for someone who is obese…Meaning, you may feel like you are the picture perfect idea of health right now because of a check up with the doctor, but you are at higher risk for many life changing and life risking diseases. You do not have to be a doctor to know this information…Just educated.
I, myself, am not the picture perfect idea of health. But I do strive for healthy goodness in life because it is kind of the point…you know…to live and love being alive.
If you are happy with yourself the way you are then that is awesome. I am happy with myself as well. But I always know there is room for improvement. Okay…I am having mixed emotions here. The thing is is that looking at her, even though she is attractive and actually gains her weight in a way that I think is better looking than say some that weigh what she may weigh, I think she is beautiful. Then there is this part of me that just knows that being that overweight is EXTREMELY unhealthy and everyone that is saying “go you!” and “that is hot!” does nothing for her to have a switch in her head to go off and say “oh maybe I should get healthy so i can live longer…” She is at risk big time for heart disease, higher chance of cancer, diabetes, etc.

Because for one, not all are high maintenance, that is quite the generalization, and two, ther are many different degrees of overweight as there are many different degrees of skinny. 135-140 lbs is the healthy weight for a woman who is 5’7″. If you are 5’1″ you should be a lot closer to 105-110 lbs. That makes you neither skinny, nor particularly fat. Women your size are considered ‘thick’ and there seems to be a lot of men out there that like a thick woman. So while your defense of skinny chicks is nice, and you are right that not all are bad..I think that his comment about curvy, soft, and nice women more appropriately applies to you. If I were in your shoes..I would take it as a compliment.

Also, maybe 130 is considered overweight for you because of your height. I would never call that overweight! I’m 5’8″ and 190 lbs. and my doctor told me 150 would actually a healthy weight for me. Guess it depends on the person and their build.

About 85% of the time when one of my guy friends hooks up with a woman under 200 lbs., the woman in question has such an attitude of entitlement it’s ridiculous. They think they should never have to spend a dime of their own money again, they immediately try to cut off all activities the guy likes doing rather than compromising [instead of "OK, I'll see the action movie with you if you watch the chick flick with me," it's "From now on, no more action movies, no more chess games with your guy friends, no more going anywhere even to the grocery store unless either I'm with you or I call your cell phone every 15 minutes"], and they put out maybe once every 3 months. Now, maybe most women who don’t have curves aren’t like that, but I can only judge by what I see. The women with big, sexy bodies aren’t pushovers, by any means — not saying that — but they are reasonable. When I was dating my now deceased former wife, we would trade off on movie dates [I'd pick one, the next time she'd pick one], I liet her have one night a konth with her female friends and she let me have one night a month with my male friends no questions asked, etc. And she put out a reasonable number of times — not every single night, but enough so that it was worth continuing to date.

@SeanB yea…the bmi chart is off with many people. i am really curvy. even when i am way skinny i am pretty curvy. but i know what it is like to be under 100 lbs and have people stare at you like you are anorexic or on crack (i had chronic mono when i was younger and how the rumors spread!~didnt even get to kiss anyone to get it!) i like hips and shape on women…but not all of them have it so i feel bad saying that women should be this way or that way shape wise…i really just think we should strive for healthy. and pray we aren’t built like linebackers. then again, that works for some. lol. as far as what you said about the girls your friends date under 200 lbs…it sounds like it is more about the”type” of girl they are going after personality wise rather than body habitus (habitus being asthenic, hyposthenic, sthenic, etc, ie waiflike, skinny, healthy, curvy, fat, morbidly obese). Oddly there has been a lot of research done on what you are talking about. it isnt so much the weight that makes them that way and their weight is not typically what makes the guy attracted. it is a mixture of the look she gives off along with the aura of bitchiness. amazingly guys are attracted to that subconsciously because it allows for the pecking order to be established. then they are unhappy because it is never what it is cracked up to be. arm candy is no fun if you can not play with it.
But not all girls are that way. I am not morbidly obese and I am a pretty cool chic. I have been told at least. possessiveness and jealousy happens in chics like the ones you are talking about because below their plastic-y exteriors is a lot of low self esteem. and a lot of times they are the way they are i many ways just for that reason alone: they have low self esteem and feel like they need to live up to some standard in their head that they established by observing it in someone else that they are jealous of or are idolizing.

If you aren’t eating all that much, you may not be eating enough (which slows your metabolism) or you may have a thyroid problem which can cause you to gain weight regardless of what you do diet and exercise wise. it should be the inside that matters….but nothing matters if you die from being unhealthily too skinny or too overweight.

Because I do know a lot of info about this stuff because I have had health issues and have had my doctors give me info and I have studied a lot about it all because I wanted to understand what I was doing to my body and health when I was sick and only 89 pounds and also when I was overweight at 156 lbs.
So…instead of being a B!tch MAYBE YOU as well should respect other people and where they are coming from. You may think that overweight isn’t always unhealthy….However, in looking at the facts of life and multiple studies, there are multiple health RISKS that are upped percentage wise for someone who is obese…Meaning, you may feel like you are the picture perfect idea of health right now because of a check up with the doctor, but you are at higher risk for many life changing and life risking diseases. You do not have to be a doctor to know this information…Just educated.
I, myself, am not the picture perfect idea of health. But I do strive for healthy goodness in life because it is kind of the point…you know…to live and love being alive.
If you are happy with yourself the way you are then that is awesome. I am happy with myself as well. But I always know there is room for improvement. And that can be in any way (physically, mentally, emotionally, etc) and I think personally for me that is what life is about. Being happy with myself but knowing I can strive to be more at all times. Not everyone who goes to the beach, wears a bikini, etc. is perfect. Good health, weight, etc. is something we should all aim for. However, in this day and age, getting out of the house, office, etc. is usually a step in the right direction towards better health.
